Before starting Refresh Nutrition I worked in various clinical hospital settings for close to a decade. I worked, learned and experienced the impact of chronic and acute illnesses on our bodies. I've worked with diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, pediatric and intensive care management. After working in the hospital I realized that there is a need for support outside of the hospital which lead me to open Refresh Nutrition, a medical nutrition therapy practice. I wanted to be a Registered Dietitian that spreads the joy of nutrition, intuitive eating and wellness to East Tennessee.
As a wife and mom to three little ones my view of nutrition is functional, sustainable and feasible for an any lifestyle. This spans, not just to myself but my family and my clients. When I’m not with clients, I’m with my family exploring Knoxville and East Tennessee.
I earned my Master of Science (MS) degree from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I also completed my Dietetic Internship through CSUN which lead me to earn my beloved title, Master of Science Registered Dietitian (MS, RD).
